Post #2: The Gridiron

College football started recently and the NFL is underway.  Tell me about your favorite team or teams, why you like them, and who you watch the games with.  If you are not that into football, tell me about another sport that you and your family enjoy watching together.  Be sure to include an image. Don't forget to capitalize, punctuate, and reread your post before you publish it for any errors.  

• Typing Club: Go to typing club and repeat lessons 41-50 (for review) and complete lessons 51-60.

• After you are done with Typing Club, go to your email and open the email (that I sent you) with the class blog addresses. You will need to copy and paste each blog address into the "ADD" button on your blog.  (I will help you do this in class.)  Once you have added all the addresses, check out other student blogs. Please comment on the other posts from students in your group.  If there is still time left over, you can read and comment on 5 other students' posts in the class.  Happy blogging!  Don't judge!

Post #1: Favorite Place in California

Good Afternoon Class,

Please write a paragraph about your favorite place in the state of California. Find an image to show that place. You must write a minimum of 5 sentences.

Many call Disneyland "The Happiest Place on Earth" and our family is no exception.  Every time we venture down to the magic kingdom we always have a great time!

When you are done with your blog, go to your email and open the email I sent you.  You will adding the blog address to people you follow.  I will give instructions on how to do this!!!! 

After you have added all the addresses you need to finish through Lesson 50 on Typing Club.  I am adding this to the grade book after school today... If you don't have it done, you will NOT receive full credit!!!

Speaking of Grades... Go to Student Connect (link on my website) and check your grade in this class.  If you do not have an "A" right now then you are probably missing an assignment.  If you need your student connect password, ask me and I will give it to you.

My First Blog Post

The three things I like best about Alta Sierra are...

1. We have great students and teachers.
2. Our school has some of the best facilities in the state of California.

1. Typing Club: Re-do lessons 31-40 on Typing Club (to practice what you did on Tuesday), then complete Lessons 41-50.  I will give you 30 min. in class to work.
2. Create Your Exploring Tech Blog: Today you will learn how to create a blog.  I will give you instructions on how to create your own blog.  Blog addresses must be turned in by the end of the period to the form on my website.

Internet Safety Lesson: Today we will review internet safety.  You will watch a slideshow and some videos to learn more about issues many teens face when using the internet.  After the presentation, everyone will take the quizzes on my website.  You will be required to PrintScreen the certificate from the "NS Teens Challenge" to receive credit for today's work.
