Blog #1: Favorite Place in California

Good Afternoon Class,

Please write a paragraph about your favorite place in the state of California. Find an image to show that place, and comment on each other's blogs about if you've been to that place or not, and what you might like or enjoy about going to that place.  You must write a minimum of 5 sentences.

Many call Disneyland "The Happiest Place on Earth" and our family is no exception.  Every time we venture down to the magic kingdom we always have a great time!

When you are done with your blog, go to your email and open the email I sent you.  You will adding the blog address to people you follow.  I will give instructions on how to do this!!!! 

After you have added all the addresses you need to finish "Venturing Out" on Typing Web.  You will also need to take a TYPING TEST today!!!!

You will create an Exploring Tech Blog using Blogger.com Once you have finished creating your blog you will copy and paste your blog address into the form I have created on my website.  Later I will share all of these blog addresses with you in an email.  You will use these to follow other students in our class.
2. You will complete Lesson 5 "Venturing Out" on Typing Web.

1. Log into your Google email account.  I have sent you a list of all the period 7 email addresses.  You will add these addresses to your "Contacts" in Google Contacts.

Good Afternoon Class,

Looking at the disappointing results of  Tuesday's assignment, I have decided that we need to revisit the skills taught in this lesson and EVERYONE will need to re-do the assignment.  I will give you information in class on how to complete the assignment online.

Second, you will need to go to Typing Web.  Today instead of completing the next lesson, you will take a "TYPING TEST."  We will take a typing test every Thursday to chart improvement.

Third, every student needs to join my Edmodo "Exploring Tech" class.  If you already have an Edmodo account the class code is 2tbcur. If you do not have an Edmodo account you will need to sign up today for a student account.  I will walk the class through this process.

Lastly, today we will create a document in Google Docs.  After you have completed this assignment, you will need to turn it into Edmodo.  I will show the class how to do this.

1. Typing Web: If you have not finished all 26 sections (two trophies) in typing web, you MUST GET THEM DONE TODAY.  I will give you 30 min. in class to work today.
2. If you HAVE Finished the first two lessons they you may go to Nitro Type.  Make up for a free account and compete against your friends.
3. Google Docs: today we will create an Exploring Tech Folder and you will share it with me

Blog #35: My Summer Plans (Last blog of the year)

Well this is it.  The last blog of the year.  Tell me about your plans for the summer.  Do you have any vacation plans?  Are you taking any fun classes or involved in any fun activities?  What will a typical summer day look like?  After you are done go to typing web and complete the lesson titled "Advanced Wrap-Up".  It seems many of you did not finish last week!!!
