Blog #9: What's for Dinner?

If you could have anything for dinner what would it be? Steak? Pizza? Lobster? Pretend that you have to cook dinner for your family and you have to plan the menu, tell me "What's for Dinner?" Tell me the main dish, side dish, dessert, beverages that you would serve at tonight's meal. You may also include how you would make your food, or what you would have to do to get ready to bring it to your table. Remember, 5 sentences, title, picture, and 5 comments on other students blogs. Have fun with this one, anything is possible.

When you are done with your blog complete typing lesson "Venturing Out" then TAKE A TYPING TEST!!!  Later we will work on Google Drive... please turn in your "Flower" assignment to Edmodo if you did not have time on Wednesday.

Blog #8: My Elementary School

Today's Blog is about your elementary school. What elementary school did you go to? Did you like it? What was your mascot? What was your favorite grade? Favorite memory there? Who was your Principal? Who is the teacher you most remember? Remember the blog # in your title, 5 sentences, picture, and 5 comments. When you are done please begin on typingweb.com/tutor lesson titled "Homerow and Beyond".

Some of you have not made up missed typing lesson/test... please check to make sure you are caught-up.

Blog #7: Dream Pet

Today you will tell me about your dream pet. It can be anything real or fictional, alive or dead. It can be a shark, a bigfoot, a liger. Tell me where you got him, why you got him, what you will do together, how other people would feel about him, or anything else you can possibly think of. Have fun, be creative, anything is possible. Remember to number and title your blog, 5 sentences, 1 picture, 5 comments.  

When you are finished please go to  typingweb.com/tutor and complete the lesson titled, "Bottom Row Keys"

Blog #6: Favorite Theme Park

Everyone loves theme parks: Disneyland,  Magic Mountain, Great America. What is your favorite theme park? Why? What do you love about it? What is your best memory at a theme park? If you have never been, which one would you like to go to and why?  Remember 5 sentences, title, picture, and 5 comments on other students blogs. When you are finished go to Typing Web and complete lesson 2: "The Top Row Keys". When you are done take a "Typing Test."

Blog #5: George Washington's Birthday

Hello Class, Monday we had a day off of school to celebrate George Washington's birthday. Use the internet to tell me what you know about President Washington and tell me why he is considered one of our greatest Presidents. Give me your opinion about what he has done and tell me what you have heard or what you think about him.  When you are finished go to Typingweb.com.  This is a new typing program that you will use the remainder of the year.  Your username is the same as your Google Drive account (If you have a hyphenated last name use _ to separate the two names.) Your password is your ID #.  (Alexis T check your email for your username... it is different.)  Once you have logged in you will complete all of lesson 1 "The Home Row Keys."  Once you are done, you can play typing games for the remainder of the class period.  If you did not finish all 100 typing lessons last week, go into typingclub and try to finish up.  Sorry I'm not there today... I'm not feeling well.

Blog #4: My Inner Olympian

As the Olympics continue in Sochi , Russia this week I am thinking about all the different competitive sports on display.  If you could compete in any Olympic sport, what would it be? (It does not have to be a winter sport.)  Write 5 sentences describing your sport and why you would like to be a competitor in that competition.  Then, go to 5 other blogs and comment on them. After you are done go to Typing Club ( you must be finished with 100 lessons by today)

Blog #3: What are You Watching?

It’s a New school year which means a start to a new TV season. What Returning TV show are you most excited about starting up again. Why are you excited about this show? Or What New TV show are you most excited to see? Why are you excited to see it? Remember 5 sentences, a picture, a title, and commenting on the blog posts of three other class members.  When you are finished continue working on your Typing Club Lessons.  You must be done through 100 by the end of the week.

Blog #2: The Gridiron

With the Superbowl last weekend the football season is over.  Tell me about your favorite team or teams, why you like them, and who you watch the games with.  If you are not that into football, tell me about another sport that you and your family enjoy watching together.  Make sure to include an image. Don't forget to capitalize, punctuate, and reread your post before you publish it for any errors.  You mush have a minimum of 5 sentences.  I have sent you an email with the address of everyone's blog.  Add them to the list of people you follow, then please comment on the other posts from students in your row. If there is still time left over, you can read and comment on other students' posts in the class.  Happy blogging!  Don't judge! Always be school appropriate!

Blog #1: Cali Is Where It's At

Please write a paragraph about your favorite place in the state of California. Find an image to show that place, and comment on each other's blogs about if you've been to that place or not, and what you might like or enjoy about going to that place.  You must write a minimum of 5 sentences.

Many call Disneyland "The Happiest Place on Earth" and our family is no exception.  Every time we venture down to the magic kingdom we always have a great time!
